Magic Cubes Privacy Policy
Effective date: 29 September 2026 · Applies to the Magic Cubes game for Android
(package com.BugzBunnyStudio.cubes2048)
- You play without an account. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or password.
- Your progress (score, gems, boosters, settings) is stored only on your device.
- The game is free because it shows ads. Our advertising partners (Google AdMob and Unity Ads) and our install-measurement partner (Adjust) automatically receive device and advertising identifiers, your IP address and information about how the game and ads are used.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before ads are personalized. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy button in the main menu.
- The game is not directed at children under 13.
1. Who we are
Magic Cubes is published by BugzBunnyStudio (“we”, “us”). For the processing described in this policy we are the data controller, together with our advertising and measurement partners where they decide how to use data for their own purposes (see section 4).

2. Information we collect
2.1 Stored only on your device
To remember your game, the following is saved locally on your phone and is not sent to us: your current score and best score, gem balance, booster counts, number of reward ads watched, sound setting, and whether you accepted this policy. It is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data.
2.2 Collected automatically by our partners
When the game connects to the internet, the software development kits (SDKs) of our partners collect:
| Type of data | Examples | Collected by |
|---|---|---|
| Device and advertising identifiers | Android Advertising ID, App Set ID, identifiers created by the SDKs | Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Adjust |
| Network and approximate location | IP address, from which an approximate (country or city level) location may be derived. We do not collect precise GPS location. | Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Adjust |
| Device information | Device model and manufacturer, Android version, language, screen size, network type | Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Adjust |
| Ad interactions | Ads requested, shown, clicked or completed; the estimated revenue of each ad | Google AdMob, Unity Ads; ad revenue is also reported to Adjust |
| Install and game activity | How you found and installed the game (Google Play Install Referrer), app opens and sessions, and a small number of game events (for example, the first cube thrown in a game) | Adjust |
| Diagnostics | Technical logs about SDK errors and performance | Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Adjust |
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, messages, precise location, health or financial information, and the game has no chat or user-generated content. The game has no in-app purchases.
3. How we use information
- To show ads that keep the game free: rewarded videos (which you choose to watch for in-game rewards), interstitial ads between games, a banner during play, and an ad when you return to the app.
- To personalize ads, only where you have allowed it (see section 5).
- To limit how often ads appear, prevent ad fraud and keep ads secure.
- To measure our marketing: understanding which campaigns bring players and how much ads earn.
- To keep the game working and improve it, and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not use it to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Partners that receive data
These companies process data through their SDKs inside the game. Each uses it as described in its own privacy policy, and some also use it for their own purposes, such as improving their services.
| Partner | Purpose | Privacy information |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob, including Google's User Messaging Platform (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) | Serving and measuring ads; collecting ad consent | policies.google.com/privacy How Google uses information from apps that use its services |
| Unity Ads (Unity Technologies), served through Google AdMob mediation | Serving and measuring ads | Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy |
| Adjust GmbH | Install attribution, marketing measurement, ad revenue reporting, fraud prevention | adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy |
| Google Play services (Google LLC) | Providing the Install Referrer and Advertising ID to the SDKs above | policies.google.com/privacy |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
5. Ads, consent and your choices
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
The first time you open the game we show a consent message from Google's User Messaging Platform, which follows the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. It lets you accept or refuse ad personalization and the storing of information on your device for advertising. If you refuse, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. You can review or change your choice at any time with the Privacy button in the main menu.
Everywhere
- Limit personalized ads or reset your advertising ID: open Android Settings › Google › Ads (or Settings › Privacy › Ads) and delete or reset your advertising ID. The SDKs will then no longer have access to it.
- Android ad privacy features (ad topics, app-suggested ads and ad measurement) can be turned off in Settings › Security & privacy › Ads privacy on supported devices.
- Stop all collection: play without an internet connection, or uninstall the game.
6. Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
- Consent: personalized advertising, and storing or reading information on your device where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time (section 5); this does not affect processing that took place before.
- Legitimate interests: showing non-personalized ads so the game can stay free, limiting ad frequency, preventing fraud, keeping the game secure, and measuring our marketing. You can object to this processing (section 11).
- Legal obligation: where we must keep or disclose information by law.
7. US state privacy rights
Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. In the last 12 months the game collected the categories described in section 2 (identifiers, internet or network activity, and approximate geolocation derived from IP address) for the purposes in section 3. We do not sell personal information for money; making identifiers available to advertising partners for personalized ads may count as “sharing” under some laws. To opt out, delete or reset your advertising ID as described in section 5, or contact us. We do not collect sensitive personal information and will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
8. Children
Magic Cubes is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under the minimum age for consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the game and their information was collected, contact us and we will help remove it and ask our partners to do the same.
9. How long data is kept
Data stored on your device stays there until you uninstall the game or clear its data. We do not run our own servers that store player data. Our partners keep the data they collect for the periods stated in their privacy policies (section 4), after which it is deleted or anonymised.
10. International transfers
Our partners may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, they rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
11. Your rights and how to use them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Because you play without an account and we do not store player data on our own servers, we usually cannot identify you from a request alone. To exercise a right:
- Use the in-game Privacy button (EEA/UK/Switzerland) and the Android advertising ID settings described in section 5;
- Uninstall the game to delete everything stored on your device;
- Or email [CONTACT EMAIL]. If possible, include your device's advertising ID so we can pass your request to our partners. We will respond within the time required by law, and at the latest within 30 days.
You can also contact our partners directly using the links in section 4.
12. Android permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet and network state | To load ads and check connectivity |
Advertising ID (AD_ID) | Used by the ad and measurement SDKs as described above |
| Install referrer | Lets Adjust learn how the game was installed |
| Android ad services (ad ID, attribution, topics) | Android's privacy-preserving advertising features used by the Google Mobile Ads SDK |
| Wake lock / foreground service | Used internally by the SDKs to finish short background tasks reliably |
The game does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.
13. Security
Data sent by the SDKs is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we choose partners that apply appropriate technical and organisational measures.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the game or the law changes. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated, and important changes will be announced in the game or on its Google Play page.
